Job Description:**Job Description**

The Sales Analyst – Power BI Specialist is responsible for providing comprehensive analytical support to the commercial function through the delivery of high-quality analytics, data insights, and dashboard solutions designed to optimize sales performance. This position serves as a critical liaison between raw data sources and strategic decision-making processes, transforming complex datasets into actionable business intelligence. The primary focus of this role is the utilization of Power BI to develop dynamic visualizations and insights that empower leadership and field sales teams to proactively address trends, performance discrepancies, and customer opportunities.

**Key Responsibilities:**

1. **Sales Data Analysis & Reporting (35%):** Aggregate and analyze internal and external sales data, encompassing revenue, unit sales, territorial performance, product category performance, and customer segmentation. Conduct variance and trend analysis on key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify drivers of sales performance. Develop and maintain automated Power BI reports and dashboards to provide real-time visibility into performance metrics.

2. **Business Intelligence & Visualization (30%):** Develop advanced Power BI dashboards to present sales and market data in an accessible and interactive format. Create DAX measures and calculated columns to support complex business logic requirements. Optimize Power BI models to ensure performance and usability across various business units.

3. **Strategic Support & Forecasting (20%):** Collaborate with sales leadership to provide data-driven insights for sales planning, territory realignment, and goal setting initiatives. Support demand forecasting and predictive analysis efforts through the development of historical trend models. Provide analysis of campaign performance and return on investment (ROI) for marketing initiatives impacting sales.

4. **Data Governance & Collaboration (15%):** Partner with IT and data engineering teams to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and availability of data from multiple sources (ERP, CRM, market intelligence tools). Document business definitions, data logic, and reporting processes to ensure continuity and compliance. Provide training to business users on the interpretation and utilization of Power BI dashboards.

Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or related field. Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Power BI) preferred. 
  • 3–5 years of experience in a sales analyst, business analyst, or commercial analytics role.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing Power BI dashboards in a business setting.
  • Experience in fast-paced, data-driven sales environments preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to present data-driven narratives.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to interpret data in a commercial context.
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, data modeling, visualization).
  • Proficient in Excel, including pivot tables, advanced formulas, and charts.
  • Familiarity with relational databases and SQL for querying data.
  • Understanding of sales funnel metrics, revenue attribution models, and territory management.
