Job Description

We are seeking a Road Asset Management Specialist with the following responsibilities:



  1. Study existing assets, available date, current practice, governing laws, regulations, and constraints.
  2. Identify, documents required/missing additional assets’ data, assessment of current practices & stakeholders’ requirements and group existing assets based on its nature, function, usage, age, criticality, life span, required maintenance etc.
  3. Structure & build assets’ inventory database including assets’ parameters, condition assessment aspects, inspection/testing routines, expected failures, rectification/replacement options, frequencies etc.
  4. Conduct a gap analysis between existing and required datasets.
  5. Create an asset management strategy with a specific objective, targets, management/operational structures, processes, organization, KPI’s.
  6. Create Asset Management Operational Plans to achieve set objectives while monitoring and maintain set KPI’s, the plans will cover assets data collection, data analysis, assessment schemes, deterioration models, prioritization models, rectification/upgrade decision making models, maintenance/upgrade approach, estimated implementation budgets, timelines etc.
  7. Research, analyze and recommend best practice asset management systems, technologies and approaches compatible with local conditions and norms.
  8. Present and seek acceptance of the proposed Asset management Schemes with full liaison with clients, stakeholders, and internal operations.
  9. Develop and implement road asset management strategies to maximize asset lifespan and performance.
  10. Establish maintenance plans and schedules based on asset condition, usage, and budget constraints.
  11. Analyze asset performance data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
  12. Stay updated on industry best practices, regulations, and technologies related to road asset management.
  13. Building a team and managing the Road Asset Management Department.
  14. Conduct activities related to Business Development, including identifying potential projects, preparing proposals, and submission of bids.
  15. Liaise with stakeholders, clients, and relevant government agencies to ensure smooth project implementation and address any issues or concerns.
  16. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, and standards in project activities.
