Job Description:As a Revenue Management Cargo Officer, the incumbent will be responsible for optimizing revenue and contribution margins for Etihad Airways’ passenger and freighter network across a defined portfolio of routes. This will be achieved through the development and implementation of strategic initiatives based on advanced revenue management systems and data analysis, facilitating critical decision-making to maximize overall portfolio performance. The role encompasses ensuring effective capacity utilization, proactively addressing operational constraints, and ultimately achieving optimal revenue outcomes. Accountabilities include managing and controlling daily flight capacity for both freighters and passenger aircraft; adjusting capacity forecasts as required and setting optimal overbooking levels within the active flight window; prioritizing shipments based on cargo type, contribution margin, and overbooking protection levels; evaluating and implementing recovery options during operational disruptions, ensuring appropriate rebooking procedures; optimizing gateway usage and fostering collaboration with internal stakeholders, including Operations, Customer Service, and Sales; evaluating and responding to capacity requests from the Etihad network beyond Abu Dhabi, adhering to established Service Level Agreements (SLAs); managing truck schedules and adjusting truck requests as needed; analyzing and providing recommendations to the Network Planning team regarding the feasibility of ad-hoc freighter and passenger capacity changes; coordinating with Operation Control for short-term aircraft changes; managing a portfolio of approximately 10 distinct routes/20 daily flights, developing, implementing, and reviewing a revenue optimization strategy through the analysis of demand and capacity trends; defining and maintaining entry conditions within the revenue management system to achieve an optimal balance between demand and capacity offered; determining an allocation strategy for the portfolio and evaluating allocation requests from the network during seasonal allocation reviews; monitoring allocation performance and implementing corrective actions through regular performance reviews; conducting weekly route performance reviews and collaborating with the Pricing Department to ensure alignment on route strategies; and contributing to departmental development projects. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) and a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in airline cargo or a related field. Demonstrated strong analytical and decision-making skills, coupled with exceptional organizational skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment, are essential. Experience with a reputable airline is preferred.
