Job Description:**Responsibilities:**

The candidate will be responsible for collaborating with Product Management, Sales Operations, Sales, Legal, and FP&A teams to develop standardized contract templates. The candidate will also drive process improvements and configure NetSuite and related systems to automate the revenue lifecycle, incorporating industry best practices and emerging technologies to enhance reporting speed and accuracy. This includes reviewing and evaluating the revenue recognition implications of non-standard contracts and new product offerings. The candidate will lead, mentor, and develop a team of revenue and systems accounting professionals, assist with month-end revenue close processes, including reconciliations and variance analysis, and develop and maintain effective internal controls over revenue transactions and reporting. Furthermore, the candidate will research and document accounting memos on significant revenue recognition and policy matters, and serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors regarding order-to-cash processes.

**Qualifications:**

Candidates must possess a strong academic record from secondary and post-secondary education, along with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or demonstrate equivalent relevant experience. A CPA, CA, or equivalent certification is required, accompanied by excellent technical accounting skills and IFRS proficiency. A thorough understanding of IFRS 15 and related regulations pertaining to SaaS and services is essential. Candidates should demonstrate leadership or management experience, a history of exceeding expectations, and experience in software licensing, subscription, and services revenue accounting and operations. Experience driving revenue recognition initiatives and scaling accounting processes in a high-growth environment is also necessary. Proficiency with ERP, Rev Rec, CRM, CPQ, and other relevant software platforms, particularly NetSuite and Salesforce, is preferred. Experience in a multi-country, multi-currency operations and tax environment is highly desirable. Candidates must possess professional written and spoken English communication skills, excellent interpersonal abilities, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability, along with thoughtfulness, self-motivation, and a results-oriented approach. The ability to travel twice annually for company events, with durations of up to two weeks, is required. Public company reporting and revenue accounting experience, along with experience in software implementation, integration, and user acceptance testing, are considered advantageous.
