Job Description: **Project Controls Manager – Renewable Energy (Wind & Solar)**

**Job Summary:**
A seasoned Project Controls Manager is sought to assume responsibility for the comprehensive planning, scheduling, cost management, and risk mitigation of expansive Wind and Solar energy projects (500MW+) within the GCC region. This role necessitates ensuring projects are executed within stipulated timelines, budgetary constraints, and in strict adherence to contractual and regulatory mandates. The ideal candidate will demonstrate considerable proficiency in Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) project execution, Primavera (P6), Earned Value Management (EVM) methodologies, and financial forecasting within the renewable energy sector.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Project Planning & Scheduling:** Develop and maintain the master project schedule utilizing Primavera P6 or MS Project. Collaborate closely with project teams, EPC contractors, and stakeholders to harmonize project timelines and milestones. Identify critical path activities and implement proactive measures to mitigate potential delays.
2. **Cost Control & Budget Management:** Establish and rigorously monitor project budgets, cost estimates, and financial forecasts. Implement stringent cost control measures to ensure financial efficiency and prevent budgetary overruns. Track and report earned value analysis (EVA), cost performance index (CPI), and schedule performance index (SPI).
3. **Risk Management & Change Control:** Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management strategy, encompassing the identification of potential project risks. Conduct both quantitative and qualitative risk assessments, providing corresponding mitigation strategies. Manage change orders, contract variations, and claims, ensuring meticulous documentation and adherence to approval protocols.
4. **Progress Monitoring & Reporting:** Prepare and present weekly/monthly progress reports, highlighting key performance indicators and overall project status. Ensure real-time data tracking and effective utilization of project controls software for accurate reporting purposes. Support executive decision-making processes by providing detailed trend analyses and scenario planning.
5. **Stakeholder Coordination & Compliance:** Collaborate extensively with Project Directors, Finance, Procurement, and Construction teams to ensure project alignment. Ensure strict compliance with all contractual obligations, relevant regulatory standards, and established financial governance. Serve as a crucial liaison between clients, EPC contractors, and consultants, effectively addressing project control challenges.
**Key Qualifications & Experience:**
**Education:** A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
**Experience:** A minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in Project Controls for large-scale Renewable Energy (Wind & Solar) projects is required. Candidates must possess a strong background in EPC project execution, cost management principles, and schedule control methodologies. Experience in overseeing projects of 500MW+ capacity, preferably within the GCC region, is highly desirable.
**Skills:** Demonstrated expertise in Primavera P6, MS Project, Earned Value Management (EVM), and cost control systems. Robust analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities are essential. Must possess the ability to operate effectively within fast-paced, multi-disciplinary work environments.
