As a Renewable Energy Engineer at Storlytics, the incumbent will be responsible for leading the implementation and optimization of energy storage solutions. This role entails providing strategic analysis and specialized technical support to guide clients through intricate system designs. The successful candidate will directly impact the lifecycle performance and return on investment of energy storage systems, thereby enabling developers and utilities to thrive within a rapidly evolving energy sector. Furthermore, the incumbent will contribute to the enhancement of the Storlytics software platform, ensuring its continued leadership through adaptation to emerging customer requirements. The application of ingenuity and technical proficiency will foster innovation, scalability, and sustainability, supporting Storlytics’ commitment to the advancement of a robust and efficient energy future.

**Key Responsibilities:**

The incumbent will undertake the following responsibilities:

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assist clients in resolving energy storage design and optimization challenges across a range of applications.
* Support the application development team in enhancing the Storlytics software platform to ensure alignment with prevailing industry standards.
* Assist utility companies and energy storage developers in evaluating lifecycle performance and return on investment metrics.
* Maintain current knowledge of market trends, grid interconnection requirements, and energy market dynamics within wholesale and retail sectors.
* Develop models of emerging energy storage technologies utilizing data provided by Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
* Generate comprehensive reports, analyses, presentations, and other client-facing documentation.
* Coordinate with OEMs, developers, and subject matter experts in the management and execution of complex projects.

Skills:

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related field, with a strong academic record.
  • Experience with power system studies, including load flow, short circuit analysis, arc flash, protection, and harmonics.
  • Experience in renewable energy system design.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB programming.
  • Excellent command of English, both spoken and written.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fresh graduates with outstanding academic records are encouraged to apply.
  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with Python programming (intermediate level).
  • Familiarity with PV modeling and simulation tools such as PVSyst.
  • Strong organizational, technical writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a project team.
  • Eagerness to learn and tackle new challenges.
  • Thrive in fast-paced environments with a proactive mindset.
