Renewable Energy Director

Guildhall is working with a large group of companies in Doha, Qatar that is looking to expand in to the renewable energy space. They are aggressively targeting growth in this sector and are looking for a Business Director to support this.

We are looking for someone with the following experience:
• Exposure int the energy or renewable energy sector (solar PV, onshore or offshore wind and other technologies]. Including project development experience, project finance, corporate PPA’s and/or Corporate Energy procurement
• Good understanding of renewable energy incentive and regulatory structures across the middle east region
• Broad technical understanding of energy systems and renewable energy technologies, and ability to assess new renewable energy technologies and complementary technologies to identify new opportunities
• Strong project management skills, including experience with appropriate software tools
• General business and financial acumen plus evidence of customer-service orientation
• Effective communications skills (written, verbal and presentation – Arab national preferred)
• Ability to plan and manage the development like supply chain / partnership agreement with the manufacturers / specialized companies and implementation of suitable tools, databases and software to enhance company’s position to bid large scale projects energy projects
• Exposure to pricing, Estimation and value engineering opportunities of large-scale renewable energy projects
• The scale of projects handled shall be 100-500 MW or larger.
