Reporting to the Director, Middle East, this role ensures profitable growth, customer satisfaction, and operational alignment with Volvo’s global objectives.The position requires a comprehensive, results-oriented approach — managing the full commercial spectrum including vehicle sales, parts, project management, service performance, tender management, marketing, and brand development. The goal is to strengthen Volvo Buses’ market leadership, drive sustainable business growth, and enhance customer success through effective importer collaboration and direct market engagement.Main ResponsibilitiesSales Growth and Market Development Develop and execute strategic commercial plans to achieve growth in vehicle and parts sales, profitability, and market share across importer and private markets.Business and Market Performance Management Monitor total bus market performance, analyze key financial and operational metrics, and ensure regional business stability, profitability, and long-term sustainability.Strategic Business Development Identify growth opportunities, anticipate market and operational risks, and develop proactive strategies to support sustainable business expansion.Project and Tender Management Oversee the full lifecycle of key sales projects and public/private tenders — from opportunity identification and proposal development to bid submission and contract execution — ensuring competitiveness, compliance, and timely delivery.Customer and Stakeholder Engagement Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, dealers, bodybuilders, suppliers, and key stakeholders to drive loyalty, trust, and long-term partnerships.Influence and Strategic Collaboration Actively influence key decision-makers, industry bodies, and partners to position Volvo Buses as the preferred brand in the region. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with Volvo’s commercial priorities and strategic initiatives.Leadership and Team Development Lead, coach, and empower importer and sales teams to deliver business targets, foster capability development, and ensure accountability across all markets.Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate closely with internal functions — including Vehicle Sales, Service Market, Product Planning, Quality, Finance, and Industrial Operations — to align strategies and ensure seamless execution.Operational and Governance Excellence Ensure operational efficiency, compliance, and adherence to Volvo’s Principles, Governance standards, and Code of Conduct, promoting best practices across all business processes.Representation and Reporting Represent the regional commercial function in internal and external forums, providing business insights, market updates, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.Skills And CompetenciesProven success in sales, service, and commercial management, preferably within the bus or transportation industry.Strong understanding of Middle Eastern markets, customer behavior, and competitive dynamics.Strategic and analytical thinker with solid financial acumen and the ability to convert insights into actionable business strategies.Well-established network across the bus and transport ecosystem — including customers, dealers, and bodybuilders.Innovative and forward-thinking approach, with knowledge of electromobility, total solutions, and sustainable transport trends.Inspiring and inclusive leadership style with excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural, and matrixed environment.Strong command of financial planning, forecasting, and performance management tools.Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.Travel frequently across the assigned markets.We value your data privacy and therefore do not accept applications via mail.Who We Are And What We Believe InWe are committed to shaping the future landscape of efficient, safe, and sustainable transport solutions.
