Job Description:The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely preparation and distribution of invoices to customers based on sales orders and contractual agreements. The role includes monitoring customer accounts to ensure accurate and timely payment application and receipt. The Specialist will employ diverse communication methods, including telephone, email, and written correspondence, to pursue outstanding payments. Investigation and resolution of payment discrepancies and disputes must be conducted professionally and expeditiously. Collaboration with the sales team and other internal departments is required to address customer concerns and ensure prompt issue resolution. Maintenance of meticulous records of customer interactions and transaction details within the accounting system is essential. Monthly statements will be disseminated to customers to inform them of outstanding balances. Generation of financial reports pertaining to accounts receivable, encompassing aging reports, cash collections, and bad debt analysis, is required. The Specialist will contribute to month-end and year-end closing activities through the preparation of reconciliations and reports for management review, including analytical and ratio analyses relevant to A/R so management can gain a better understanding of how collection efforts are progressing. Support other accounting and finance team members, inventory management, and cost accounting will also be provided. Responsibilities also encompass the assessment and management of customer credit limits and payment terms based on payment history and financial stability.

Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • Understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping
