Job Description:Midea Electric Egypt seeks a highly organized and detail-oriented R&D Senior Lab Engineer responsible for ensuring the testing of critical functionalities, safety protocols, and adherence to internal and external technical standards, as well as proposing improvements. The successful candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding and application of international testing standards for components and complete products to meet market demands.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Develop comprehensive test plans for appliances.
* Conduct, analyze, review, report, and document test results for front-load washing machines/washer dryers and top-load washing machines.
* Manage lab utilities and infrastructure equipment, including follow-up, calibration, maintenance, and improvements.
* Represent Midea in local governmental committees, universities, laboratories, and agencies regarding technical product issues (e.g., Energy Label, Noise, Safety, Performance, regulations).
* Design and develop test equipment and ensure its proper maintenance.
* Prepare and instrument products for testing.
* Forecast and manage lab consumables.
* Support Platform or technology teams and Product Care in relevant testing, validation, and provide improvement proposals to Platforms or Technology development.
Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Mechanical, Thermodynamics engineering / or similar.
- Experience in home appliance product testing or laboratory testing.
- Knowledge in laboratory equipment / data acquisition system.
- Experience in laboratory management system.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management, organization, and multitasking skills
- Professional demeanor and a proactive, team-oriented attitude
Preferred Qualifications:
- R&D or QC Background.
- familiar with international home appliances standard.
