**Position Summary:**

The primary responsibilities of this position include the preparation of specialized meals and substitute items, the regulation of cooking equipment temperatures, and the proper thawing of food items. This role also necessitates ensuring appropriate portion control, food arrangement, and garnishing. Maintenance of food logs and monitoring of food quality and quantity are essential duties. The incumbent will communicate assistance requirements during peak periods and inform the Chef of surplus food items for daily specials. Notification of Food & Beverage service staff regarding menu specials and unavailable items is also required.

Maintaining the quality of food items is paramount. The preparation and cooking of food must adhere to established recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists. Preparation of cold food items is also expected.

Furthermore, this role involves assisting management with personnel functions, including hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, and disciplinary actions, while serving as a role model for other employees. Adherence to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures is mandatory, including reporting maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management and completing required safety training and certifications.

Maintaining a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance is essential, as is the confidentiality of proprietary information and the protection of company assets. Anticipating and addressing guest service needs, communicating clearly and professionally, and developing positive working relationships with colleagues are also key components of this role. The incumbent will support team goals and respond appropriately to employee concerns.

This position requires adherence to quality expectations and standards, the ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, and the capacity to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. The ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance is also necessary. Additional reasonable job duties may be assigned by Supervisors.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

* **Education:** Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
* **Related Work Experience:** Minimum of 3 years of related work experience.
* **Supervisory Experience:** No supervisory experience required.
* **License or Certification:** None required.
