**Quantity Surveyor – Civil Works**
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Prepare comprehensive cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQ), and tender documents for civil works projects.
* Evaluate quotations, claims, and variations submitted by contractors and subcontractors.
* Monitor and manage project costs, budgets, and cash flows to ensure financial integrity.
* Conduct on-site measurements to verify quantities of completed work.
* Generate interim and final payment certificates for contractors and subcontractors.
* Provide support in contract negotiations, risk management, and dispute resolution processes.
* Maintain meticulous records of site activities, material usage, and progress reporting.
* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, procurement, and finance teams to facilitate seamless project execution.
* Ensure adherence to contractual stipulations, company policies, and relevant legal requirements.
* Assist in the preparation of project financial reports and forecasts.
* Promote cost-saving initiatives and propose value engineering alternatives.
**Qualifications & Experience:**
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
* Demonstrable experience as a Quantity Surveyor in civil construction projects.
* Comprehensive understanding of construction contracts (FIDIC or equivalent).
* Proficiency in cost estimation, tendering procedures, and contract administration.
* Competence in MS Office Suite, AutoCAD, and cost management software (e.g., Candy, Primavera, or similar).
* Exceptional analytical, numerical, and problem-solving capabilities.
* Well-developed communication and negotiation skills.
* Ability to perform effectively within a dynamic construction site environment.
