Job Description:**Option 1:**

Great Foods is currently seeking a highly qualified and experienced Quality Assurance Manager to direct and oversee all quality control and assurance operations at our Alexandria facility. The successful candidate will be a seasoned professional with extensive expertise in the food industry, possessing a comprehensive understanding of quality management systems and a demonstrated history of ensuring superior product quality. The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of rigorous quality standards and procedures to guarantee the safety and quality of our diverse product portfolio, including canned goods, concentrates, meat products, frozen vegetables, and sauces.

**Responsibilities:**

* Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality assurance programs and procedures in accordance with applicable food safety regulations and company standards.
* Supervise all aspects of quality control throughout the production process, from the sourcing of raw materials to the final release of finished products.
* Establish and maintain stringent quality standards, specifications, and testing protocols for all product categories (canning, concentrate, meat, frozen vegetables, and sauces).
* Lead and manage a team of quality control personnel, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
* Conduct regular audits and inspections of production facilities, processes, and equipment to ensure compliance with established quality standards and identify opportunities for improvement.
* Analyze quality data, identify trends, and implement corrective and preventive actions to resolve quality issues and improve overall product quality.
* Manage customer complaints pertaining to quality and implement effective resolutions.
* Ensure adherence to all relevant local and international food safety regulations and standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000).
* Collaborate closely with production, research and development, and other relevant departments to ensure that quality considerations are integrated throughout the entire product lifecycle.
* Maintain current knowledge of industry best practices, technological advancements, and regulatory changes related to food quality and safety.
* Prepare and present detailed quality reports to senior management.

Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture,  Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in quality assurance within the food industry is mandatory.
  • Extensive and demonstrable experience working with the following product categories is essential: canning, concentrates, meat products, frozen vegetables, and sauces.
  • Thorough understanding of food safety regulations, quality management systems 
  • Proven ability to develop and implement quality assurance programs and procedures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant quality control techniques and methodologies.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Must be a resident of Alexandria, Alexandria Governorate.
