Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced QS Manager to oversee the cost management and quantity surveying functions within our organization. The QS Manager will be responsible for budgeting, estimating, cost control, and procurement activities to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction industry practices and regulations, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage project budgets, estimates, and cost plans
- Conduct cost analysis and cost control throughout the project lifecycle
- Prepare tender documents and evaluate bids from contractors and suppliers
- Manage the procurement process and negotiate contracts with vendors
- Provide support to project teams to ensure cost-effective construction methods
- Monitor and report on project financial performance
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met
- Lead a team of quantity surveyors and cost engineers
Skills
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
- Proven experience in a similar role within the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of construction practices, cost control methods, and procurement processes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
- Leadership and team management experience
