Job Description:**Subject: eCommerce & Marketing Specialist Position at W Riyadh – KAFD**
**Job Summary:**
This position is responsible for the effective execution of eCommerce strategies to support room and catering revenue generation. This includes the implementation of marketing programs and the strategic utilization of sales channels and platforms to enhance the hotel’s market positioning and relevance to potential guests. The role encompasses the management of day-to-day social media activities, active participation in online conversations to cultivate brand visibility and customer satisfaction, and provision of marketing and eCommerce support. The incumbent will contribute to the development of direct marketing plans, targeted campaigns, and channel activation aimed at increasing consumer awareness, preference, market share, and overall brand recognition. Collaboration with marketing teams is essential to ensure the effective integration of local, social, and digital marketing initiatives with the organization’s sales strategies.
**Candidate Profile:**
* **Education and Experience:**
* A two-year degree from an accredited university in eCommerce, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field, accompanied by four years of experience in sales, marketing, digital, eCommerce, or a related professional area; hospitality marketing or agency experience is preferred.
* Alternatively, a four-year bachelor’s degree in eCommerce, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field, coupled with two years of experience in sales, marketing, digital, eCommerce, or a related professional area; hospitality marketing or agency experience is preferred.
**Core Work Activities:**
* **Digital Strategy Execution:**
* Ensures the effective implementation of hotel eCommerce strategies on online platforms.
* Monitors compliance with and participation in company promotions and eCommerce channels.
* Promotes and safeguards brand equity.
* Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of the interrelationships between sales, revenue, and food & beverage operations.
* Executes the annual marketing plan within budget, in consultation with the General Manager, Food and Beverage Leader, Operations Leaders, Sales & Revenue Leaders, and eCommerce Leaders.
* Collaborates with Operations, Food & Beverage, and Sales teams to implement promotions and campaigns targeting in-house guests to drive incremental revenue.
* Serves as the liaison between the marketing department and advertising agency on tactical advertising campaigns, particularly for food and beverage promotions.
* Partners with property Revenue Management to ensure accurate offer loading and appropriate advertisement targeting of relevant consumer groups.
* Verifies alignment of all hotel advertising in digital channels with the brand voice.
* Facilitates social media engagement and content updates in local digital channels (e.g., hotel website, travel sites).
* Actively engages in online reputation management by identifying and addressing guest comments (positive or negative) in social media channels.
* **Marketing and Communication Partnership:**
* Assists in the development and execution of the cluster marketing plan (e.g., retargeting campaign, OTA marketing, etc.).
* Develops offer landing pages on Marriott.com for cluster offers.
* Identifies and secures Marriott.com and OTA marketing and merchandising placements as appropriate.
* Creates mini-sites for domestic segment marketing efforts where needed (e.g., Weddings).
* Develops and executes promotional campaigns for Food & Beverage, weddings, spa, rooms, and conferences through relevant digital and social media channels.
* Executes email marketing and display advertising initiatives.
**Additional Responsibilities:**
* Maintains frequent and active engagement with Digital leads to ensure alignment, pull-through, and two-way communication regarding the status, performance evaluation, opportunities, and issues related to online programs and initiatives.
* Focuses on supporting region-wide digital engagement via social media platforms.
* Facilitates social media engagement, hotel website content updates (especially for Food & Beverage outlets), and content updates in other digital channels.
* Supports the execution of promotional campaigns for Food & Beverage, weddings, spa, rooms, and conferences through relevant social media channels.
