Job Description:➢ Cultivates constructive professional relationships with external stakeholders, including suppliers and contractors, and internal departments.
➢ Ensures adequate coverage for project activities during planned and unplanned absences.
➢ Guarantees that all technical work and team activities adhere to established health, safety, environmental, and security regulations, in accordance with Saint Gobain EHS standards.
➢ Delivers comprehensive technical support, supervision, and guidance to discipline and project teams.
➢ Facilitates project change management and progress monitoring for the discipline, collaborating with the Project Management Team to implement corrective measures regarding issues, staffing needs, scope modifications, progress, or other factors impacting project completion and profitability.
➢ Develops and implements quality assurance plans for the discipline, oversees quality control activities, promotes squad checks, recommends process enhancements, and initiates corrective actions as necessary.
➢ Reviews material requirements and specifications, providing technical guidance and direction.
➢ Assesses quality control documentation and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), offering technical leadership.
➢ Verifies contractor adherence to relevant engineering codes, standards, and QA/QC systems, policies, and procedures.
➢ Conducts routine site inspections to evaluate utilities installation progress and identify non-conformances.
➢ Performs site walk-down inspections of installed systems or process lines to confirm compliance with relevant Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), specifications, and piping isometrics.
➢ Witnesses mechanical tests, including hydraulic, pneumatic, gas purging, static, and rotating equipment tests.
➢ Validates that process equipment is installed according to approved drawings and specifications.
➢ Identifies technical challenges, formulates alternative solutions, evaluates the advantages and disadvantages of each, and provides recommendations through formal project documentation, such as technical queries and deviation requests.
➢ Develops a comprehensive list of discipline deliverables, managing, monitoring, and progressing them according to an agreed-upon schedule.
➢ Maintains the confidentiality of sensitive project documentation.
