Job Description:**Project Manager – Power Projects**
KBR seeks a qualified Project Manager to contribute to our Sustainable Technology Solutions team, delivering comprehensive solutions throughout the asset lifecycle. This role involves representing the client in all project-related activities, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and contractual standards in design, procurement, and construction.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Serve as the primary client representative for all project-related matters.
* Oversee the review and approval of engineering designs, technical submittals, and contractor deliverables.
* Manage the project from a consultancy perspective, coordinating with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to maintain project timelines and ensure compliance.
* Monitor and report on project schedule, budget, risk assessment, and overall performance metrics.
* Provide expert technical guidance on design coordination and construction methodologies.
* Review and validate contractor claims, change orders, progress payments, and contractual correspondence.
* Facilitate effective communication and coordination between various technical disciplines (civil, electrical, mechanical) involved in overhead lines, substations, and power generation systems.
* Participate in project audits, risk assessments, and strategic planning sessions.
* Ensure the completeness, compliance, and proper archiving of all project documentation.
Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (Master’s degree is a plus).
PMP certification or equivalent is preferred.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience managing power infrastructure projects in a consultancy role.
Strong understanding of international standards (IEC, IEEE, etc.) and transmission/distribution engineering practices.
Experience working with EPC contract or similar contract forms.
Proven track record in delivering complex multi-disciplinary projects in the power sector.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.
Familiar with project management tools and reporting platforms (Primavera, MS Project).
