Job Title: Project ManagerTerm: 12 monthsLocation: Abu Dhabi, UAEDivision: CardsReports to: TBCPURPOSE OF THE PROJECTThe position holder will ensure consistency and governance, standardise project management processes across the bank to ensure consistency and adherence to best practices. You will monitor and control projects to oversee the progress of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. Manage and allocate resources effectively across various projects to optimise performance, including Identify potential risks in projects and implement mitigation strategies.Core Responsibilities and Accountabilities:Develop, implement, and maintain project management frameworks, templates, and best practices to ensure consistency across all initiativesEnsure all projects comply with the banks governance, risk, and compliance policiesMonitor adherence to bank-wide methodologies (Agile/Waterfall/Hybrid) and ensure alignment with strategic prioritiesOversee the entire project portfolio to ensure optimal resource utilisation, prioritisation, and alignment with business objectivesSupport budget planning, cost tracking, and forecasting for all ongoing initiativesIdentify, assess, and mitigate project risks and dependencies proactivelySupport decision making forums, such as steering committees, through structured reporting and insightsKnowledge and Experience:In-depth understanding of project methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid approaches.Knowledge of banking and/ or financial operations, financial products, and services to understand the context of projectsAwareness of local and international regulations affecting banking operations and project implementationsFamiliarity with IT systems, infrastructure, and digital transformation initiativesMandatory Skills:Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar project management softwareStrong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levelsAbility to identify issues proactively and develop effective solutionsStrong organisational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlinesAbility to lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative environmentPreferred Skills:Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, or Agile certificationsAbility to analyse project data and generate reports to inform decision-makingUnderstanding of budgeting and financial management within projects
