The German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK Egypt), established in 1951, represents over 2,500 members and functions as the foremost organization facilitating business cooperation between Germany and the Arab world. AHK Egypt plays a vital role in promoting trade and industrial development, and enhancing business relations among Germany, Egypt, Jordan, and Lebanon. A key aspect of AHK Egypt’s mission involves skills and training, which are instrumental in bolstering bilateral business relations. To this end, AHK Egypt, through its commercial entity DE International Egypt, offers management and continuing education courses for its members and clients. Furthermore, AHK Egypt is actively involved in vocational training, including the establishment of a dual vocational training system based on the German model. This encompasses supporting dual vocational training in collaboration with local companies and training institutions, as well as providing policy recommendations. Additionally, through specific initiatives such as the Skills Expert project, AHK Egypt facilitates the migration of skilled labor from Egypt to Germany. The training and qualification programs, managed by DE International Egypt, are essential for maintaining competitiveness for both individuals and organizations. The program team, consisting of two members, is an integral component of AHK’s “Competence Centre Skills and Training,” which also encompasses vocational training programs and skilled labor migration projects. Key responsibilities include: developing, adapting, and expanding the training portfolio; identifying the training needs of members and clients; cultivating partnerships with relevant organizations; creating new training courses; establishing a network of qualified trainers and partner institutions; actively marketing training offerings; overseeing the management of continuous education programs and the Skills Expert project; coordinating with other training and migration projects; ensuring financial planning and monitoring; and maintaining communication with the department head, management of DE International, and AHK’s membership and public relations teams.
Skills:
- Relevant degree, preferably in business administration, education, social studies, or law.
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience in training and project management, ideally including a leadership role.
- Proven project management experience, including budget and personnel responsibilities, with a strategic and goal-oriented mindset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Knowledge of German is an advantage.
- Ability to build, maintain, and expand industry-specific networks.
- Strong communication and marketing skills.
- Enthusiasm for a customer-driven role with excellent organizational skills.
- Experience working in an international team or with international clients, demonstrating strong confidence and self-awareness in an intercultural setting.
- High proficiency in MS Office programs.
- Determined, resilient, and able to cope well under stress.
