The individual is responsible for the comprehensive oversight of production activities, encompassing the development and maintenance of production schedules and plans through demand forecasting, capacity determination, and production run scheduling. This includes collaborative engagement with cross-functional teams (e.g., product management, design, manufacturing engineering) to ensure alignment of production plans with customer requirements and market trends. Further responsibilities include the creation and upkeep of production planning documentation (schedules, work instructions, quality control procedures), capacity planning with recommendations for manufacturing process enhancement, and supplier collaboration to guarantee material availability and process improvements. The role necessitates root cause analysis for production inefficiencies, quality issues, and safety concerns, alongside the development and implementation of quality control procedures, including statistical process control. Continuous monitoring and analysis of production data inform recommended adjustments to plans and processes. Collaboration with production personnel is essential for efficient, safe, and quality-compliant execution. Finally, maintaining awareness of industry advancements and promoting a safety-conscious organizational culture are critical components of the position.
