The incumbent is responsible for the development, oversight, and implementation of the organization’s procurement strategies. This includes formulating negotiation tactics and administering contracts to optimize cost efficiency. The role requires proactive anticipation of market trends and price fluctuations to evaluate the evolving dynamics between buyers and suppliers. Responsibilities encompass conducting thorough cost analysis pertaining to project-related procurement volumes, as well as evaluating and mitigating potential procurement risks. The incumbent will monitor all incoming purchase requisitions on a daily basis to ensure timely departmental fulfillment and prevent delays. Furthermore, the role necessitates establishing and maintaining a robust and diversified supplier base across all categories, proactively identifying new suppliers, agencies, and distributors to enhance negotiation leverage and mitigate monopolistic risks. Expansion and strengthening of the supplier network is a critical component, recognizing suppliers as strategic business partners. A broader network facilitates enhanced negotiation, reduces reliance on single-source suppliers, and provides cost-effective alternatives that benefit the organization. Finally, the incumbent will actively work to reduce or stabilize prices and improve payment terms with suppliers to ensure adherence to departmental budgetary constraints.
Skills:
- 8+ years of experience in procurement, specifically within facilities management, Commercial.
- Strong background in vendor management, contract negotiation, and cost reduction strategies for facilities services (e.g., maintenance, security, cleaning, HVAC, MEP).
- Experience managing procurement for hard and soft FM services (mechanical, electrical, landscaping, security, janitorial services, etc.).
- Strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply chain.
- Strong negotiation skills to secure the best terms and pricing with suppliers.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously.
