Job DescriptionJob Title: Principal Geologist – Target GenerationLocation: Saudi ArabiaDepartment: Exploration & Resource Development (Exploration Technical & Innovation)Position Type: Principal GeologistGrade: M12About The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Principal Geologist – Target Generation to lead geological targeting activities within our Exploration & Resource Development team. This role is pivotal in identifying areas of interest for further exploration and resource development. You will collaborate with geoscientists, engineers, and technical specialists to design and execute effective exploration programs that align with corporate strategy.Key ResponsibilitiesLead target generation activities and prioritize geological targets for exploration. Design and oversee exploration programs, including mapping, sampling, drilling supervision, and data evaluation. Integrate geological, geochemical, and geophysical datasets to develop comprehensive targeting strategies. Analyze drilling results and update geological models and resource estimates. Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders. Mentor and guide geologists and field technicians in exploration best practices. Drive continuous improvement by adopting new technologies and workflows. Promote a Safety First culture and ensure compliance with EHSS standards. Align exploration activities with company goals and contribute to KPI assessments.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Geoscience, or related discipline. 4+ years of experience in mining industry, including management roles. Proven expertise in target generation and grassroots exploration. Familiarity with KSA mining and exploration sector (preferred).Skills & CompetenciesStrong project management and analytical skills. Extensive knowledge of JORC and NI 43-101 standards. Proficiency in geological modeling and GIS software (ArcGIS, Leapfrog, Datamine, Micromine, Surpac, Vulcan). Experience in QA/QC and risk management strategies. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
