Job Description:The role entails the development and implementation of production plans to ensure optimal resource utilization and the punctual delivery of products. This includes coordinating with procurement, production, and sales departments to align planning activities with overarching business objectives. Further responsibilities involve monitoring inventory levels and forecasting demand to proactively mitigate potential shortages or overstock situations. Analysis of production data and workflow processes is required to identify areas for procedural enhancement. The preparation of regular reports detailing production status, inventory levels, and key planning metrics for managerial review is also a key component. Adaptability is crucial, necessitating the adjustment of schedules and plans in response to unforeseen shifts in demand or disruptions within the supply chain. Collaboration with quality assurance teams is essential to guarantee adherence to company product standards. Support for new product launches is expected through the coordination of planning activities with relevant departments. Maintenance of meticulous records of planning activities and the timely updating of ERP or planning systems are required. Finally, active participation in cross-functional meetings is necessary to disseminate planning updates and resolve operational concerns.
Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in planning, production, or supply chain roles, preferably in the food or FMCG industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in planning software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective cross-departmental collaboration.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt plans based on changing business needs.
- Experience with ERP systems or production planning tools.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices.
