Roles & Responsibilities
- Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive project schedules that outline tasks, milestones, and deadlines.
- Estimating the resources (labor, materials, equipment) required for each project task and allocating them efficiently within the project schedule.
- Identifying the critical path of the project, which represents the sequence of tasks that must be completed on time to prevent delays in project completion.
- Analyzing the project schedule to identify opportunities for optimization, such as minimizing resource conflicts, reducing project duration, and improving efficiency.
- Tracking the progress of project activities against the baseline schedule, identifying deviations, and implementing corrective actions to keep the project on track.
- Prepare progress reports (daily, weekly, and monthly) and presentations for project stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress against key performance indicators and adjust plans as needed to ensure success.
- Implementing Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques to measure project performance in terms of cost and schedule variance, forecasting performance, and recommending corrective actions as needed.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Assessing the impact of changes to the project scope, schedule, or resources, and updating the project schedule accordingly while minimizing disruptions.
- Identifying potential risks to the project schedule and developing contingency plans to mitigate their impact, ensuring that project timelines are maintained despite unforeseen challenges.
- Providing regular updates on project schedule performance to project stakeholders, including project managers, clients, and subcontractors, and addressing any scheduling concerns or issues promptly.
- Utilizing project management software tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar applications to create and manage project schedules effectively.
- Employing effective cash flow management practices to ensure positive cash flow throughout the entire lifecycle of the project.
- Proficient in project EOT analysis, recording project delays, and maintaining delay logs.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or architectural engineering.
- Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in planning and scheduling for civil construction projects mainly High-Rise Towers.
- Strong knowledge of project management software and tools, such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office & Power PI.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
