Patent Specialist

A leading company in the field of patents and legal affairs, headquartered in Riyadh, is seeking a creative and passionate Patent Specialist to join their team.Key Roles & ResponsibilitiesReview and analyze innovations and technical disclosures submitted by inventors or research teams to determine their patentability.Conduct technical research and prior art searches to verify the novelty of inventions and compare them with previously registered technologies.Prepare and draft patent applications in collaboration with legal advisors or intellectual property firms, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.Follow up on the filing and registration procedures with local and international intellectual property authorities.Prepare technical reports related to inventions and research outputs and provide recommendations based on research findings.Coordinate with researchers, engineers, and inventors to understand the technical aspects of innovations and translate them into accurate legal descriptions.Monitor renewal deadlines, fee payments, and procedural timelines related to patent files to ensure rights are maintained without lapses.Manage and organize patent databases and documentation in a professional and accessible manner.Analyze competitors’ patents and market trends by monitoring IP filings with relevant authorities.Ensure high-quality work and strict adherence to deadlines for submitting reports, applications, and documentation.Communicate with regulatory bodies and external IP offices when necessary to address inquiries or technical/legal requirements.Contribute to the development of internal policies and procedures related to intellectual property and patent management.Provide internal awareness sessions when needed to enhance employees’ understanding of intellectual property.RequirementsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in a science field such as Chemistry, Biology, or Physics, or an engineering field such as Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.0 to 3 years of experience, preferably within intellectual property firms or administrative roles.Proficiency in technical systems, Microsoft Office applications, and Adobe tools.Strong team-player attitude.Highly effective communication skills in both Arabic and English (English proficiency is essential).Strong commitment to work accuracy, quality, and timely delivery of tasks without delays.Background knowledge of intellectual property systems and procedures.If you are creative, passionate about innovation, and eager to make an impact in a rapidly growing company, we would love to hear from you!
