**Role Summary:**

The Parts Picker is accountable for the receipt, storage, and issuance of parts and equipment within the Aftersales department. This position is essential for ensuring accurate and efficient inventory management, supporting both customer and workshop requirements. The role demands meticulous attention to detail, adherence to organizational guidelines, and a commitment to maintaining stringent safety and organizational standards.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Receive, issue, unload, and record parts, equipment, and other supplies in accordance with established procedures.
* Consult catalogues to ascertain material requirements, specifying part numbers, descriptions, quantities, and codes on stock issue documentation.
* Identify appropriate suppliers within stipulated company guidelines and maintain records of requisitions.
* Generate purchase orders and manage the receipt and issuance of materials for standard inventory items.
* Unload, unpack, inspect, and verify packing slips against received stock.
* Load, relocate, store, and meticulously record the movements and storage locations of materials.
* Accurately input data into relevant databases.
* Issue and transfer materials to customers and workshops as required.
* Report any safety concerns or violations to the Warehouse Manager or Parts Advisor.
* Ensure the security and integrity of the warehouse environment.
* Maintain the warehouse in a clean, organized, and safe condition through diligent housekeeping practices.

**Essential Skills and Qualifications:**

* Demonstrable proficiency in inventory management principles and associated software applications.
* Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in data recording.
* Comprehensive understanding of and adherence to safety and security protocols.
* Effective interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate interaction with suppliers and internal departments.
* Prior experience in warehouse operations or a comparable environment, ideally within the automotive sector.
* Familiarity with database input and inventory management systems.
* Strong organizational capabilities and a focus on meticulousness.
* Ability to safely lift and move heavy items.
