Job Description:**Network Engineer – Makkah Al-Mukarramah**

**Job Summary:**

This position is responsible for the comprehensive design, implementation, and management of the organization’s network infrastructure. The primary objective is to ensure optimal performance, security, and stability across all systems. The incumbent will leverage extensive practical experience with advanced networking technologies, a Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification, and demonstrable proficiency in the administration of various firewall platforms.

**Qualifications:**

* **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
* **Experience:** Five (5) to eight (8) years of relevant experience in network engineering.
* **Certifications:** CCIE Certification. Additional professional certifications are desirable.
* **Location:** Makkah Al-Mukarramah.

**Key Responsibilities:**

1. **Network Architecture and Design:** Develop and refine the enterprise network infrastructure to optimize performance, resilience, and security. Design internal and external network topologies aligning with business and security mandates.
2. **Implementation and Deployment:** Deploy and configure network devices and components, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.
3. **Operations and Maintenance:** Oversee the operation, management, and maintenance of routers, switches, and firewalls to ensure continuous, stable, and secure network connectivity.
4. **Firewall and Security Platforms:** Administer and maintain diverse firewall technologies (e.g., Cisco ASA, Palo Alto) and ensure the enforcement of proper configurations and policies.
5. **Vendor and Service Provider Coordination:** Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to facilitate the efficient delivery of network projects and services within defined parameters.
6. **Upgrades and Lifecycle Management:** Plan and execute hardware and software upgrades for network devices to ensure the implementation of the latest stable releases and security patches.
7. **Cybersecurity and Network Protection:** Implement and enforce security policies on firewalls, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and virtual private network (VPN) solutions. Contribute to the organization’s overall cybersecurity posture through secure network design and configuration practices.
8. **Network Monitoring and Performance Management:** Utilize monitoring tools, such as PRTG, SolarWinds, and Cisco Prime, to monitor performance, availability, and capacity. Proactively identify and address potential network issues before service disruption.
9. **Incident Handling and Troubleshooting:** Investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex network incidents and performance anomalies. Conduct root cause analysis and recommend preventative measures.
10. **Migration and Modernization:** Support and execute migrations from legacy network environments to next-generation platforms and solutions.
11. **Log and Threat Analysis:** Utilize Syslog servers to collect and analyze network logs, identify unusual network behavior, and detect suspicious activities or anomalies.
12. **Wireless Network Management:** Design, configure, and manage wireless network solutions utilizing platforms such as Cisco Wireless LAN Controller (WLC) and Fortinet.
13. **Data Center Network Management:** Operate and maintain Cisco Nexus switches and manage Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI)-based data center environments.
14. **Data Center and Disaster Recovery (DR) Support:** Test and validate failover and disaster recovery procedures between primary and backup data centers to ensure the continuity of critical services.
15. **Cloud Network Infrastructure:** Design, configure, and manage network environments within Oracle Cloud and OpenStack Cloud platforms.
16. **Access Control and Secure Connectivity:** Configure and manage network access control systems and secure authentication mechanisms for network access.
17. **Network Projects and Cross-Team Coordination:** Lead or support network-related projects and collaborate with other technical and business teams to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.
18. **Optimization, Documentation, and Testing:** Assess network performance and security posture, recommending actions for improvements. Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents, using Microsoft Visio. Conduct testing and advanced troubleshooting in production environments to validate changes and ensure service stability.
