Job Description:**Subject: Network Engineer Position at Keolis MHI – Dubai**

Keolis MHI is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Engineer to deploy, monitor, and maintain its information technology (IT) network and security infrastructure in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This is a permanent contract position.

**Key Responsibilities:**

The Network Engineer will be responsible for the following:

* Managing and monitoring system performance to ensure the reliability and availability of all IT networks, in accordance with established service level agreements.
* Installing, configuring, and maintaining network and security infrastructure components.
* Assessing the effectiveness and efficiency of existing network and security infrastructure and developing and implementing strategies for improvements and enhanced security.
* Developing and managing budgets for IT network infrastructure maintenance, support, and capacity enhancement/obsolescence.
* Identifying opportunities within the IT network to optimize operational costs.
* Collaborating with IT team members, decision-makers, and stakeholders to define business requirements, systems goals, and to resolve business systems issues.
* Working with systems, security, and compliance staff to ensure the smooth and secure operation of the IT network to meet business objectives.
* Providing comprehensive systems support for new IT network infrastructure implementations.
* Managing internal and external audits and supporting the implementation of ISO 27001 standards.
* Establishing and maintaining the IT network environment by designing network configuration solutions, directing network and security equipment installation, and defining, documenting, and enforcing standards.
* Managing critical external connections of OT & IT environment with Banks, RTA, Police network and Tram.
* Designing and implementing new solutions to improve the resilience of the current environment and maximize network performance through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and collaboration with system architects.
* Conducting data network and security fault investigations in LAN/WAN environments, utilizing multiple sources of information.
* Securing network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, defining and monitoring access, and supporting and administering firewall environments in accordance with IT security policies.
* Installing, configuring, and supporting network equipment including Routers, Network Switches, Load Balancer, WAF, Firewalls (Palo Alto, FortiGate, Juniper) Proxy Servers, Wireless Controllers, DNS and DHCP.
* Ensuring an uptime of 95% for all IT Network Infrastructure on a monthly basis, leading IT network and security incident troubleshooting and resolution within agreed upon service level agreements.
* Monitoring and reviewing network performance; preparing and delivering network performance statistics and reports.
* Generating weekly and monthly network performance and operational status reports.
* Upgrading data network equipment to the latest stable firmware releases.
* Configuring routing and switching equipment and firewalls.
* Providing remote support to on-site engineers and end users/customers during installation, troubleshooting, and fault finding.
* Performing capacity management, auditing IP addressing and hosted devices within data centers, and liaising with project management teams, third-line engineers, and service desk engineers.
* Ensuring that all networking and security activities are carried out in accordance with KeolisMHI IT Governance policies.
* Preparing budgets for the refresh of end-of-life hardware and maintenance of networking and security infrastructure, and ensuring the timely renewal of support contracts with partners.
* Coordinating with SECOPS Team members to ensure that the network infrastructure is designed and managed in compliance with cybersecurity policies and best practices provided by the Rail OT Networking and Cybersecurity Manager.
* Preparing and submitting weekly and monthly reports.
* Promoting a healthy and professional office environment.
* Occasional travel may be required.

**Key Competencies:**

* Extensive experience implementing and maintaining wired and wireless IT networks, infrastructure, and security technologies.
* Proven experience working with various security and network technologies from different vendors, including Fortinet, Juniper, Palo Alto, Cisco, Alcatel, and Dell.
* In-depth knowledge of networking protocols such as QoS, 802.11, BGP, IPSEC, OSPF, and HRP.
* Solid understanding of TCP/IP or OSI models, along with LAN, WAN, VoIP, WLAN, and SAN networks.
* Demonstrated ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewalls, routers, switches, and controllers.

**Minimum Qualifications:**

* **Education:** Engineering Graduate, CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Sec+
* **Desirable:** CCIE, ISO27001, CCNP (Security)
* **Experience:** Significant experience in the Network Engineering domain, with hands-on experience with network and security technologies from Cisco, Alcatel, Juniper, and Fortinet. Experience of managing Large Wired and Wireless Network, configuration of Firewalls, WAF, Load Balancers, NAC, Network Monitoring tools etc.
* **Skills/Training:** Certifications from Alcatel, Cisco, Security Products OEM. Fluent in English/ability to create network diagrams and present.
