BTT®, a leading provider of high-quality furniture and construction solutions specializing in customized wood and metal manufacturing, office furniture, hospitality and residential furnishings, dressing systems, kitchen solutions, and comprehensive construction solutions, is expanding its construction division and seeks a skilled and motivated MEP Estimator to contribute to the company’s continued success in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia market.

**Job Summary:**

The MEP Estimator (Costing Engineer) will be responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems across a variety of construction projects. This individual will analyze project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work and develop detailed cost breakdowns.

**Responsibilities:**

1. **Estimate Preparation:**

* Analyze project plans, specifications, drawings, and other contract documents to fully understand the project’s MEP requirements.
* Perform detailed quantity take-offs for all MEP materials, equipment, and labor.
* Develop accurate cost estimates for complete MEP systems, including, but not limited to, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical power distribution, lighting, and low voltage systems.
* Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, including material costs, labor costs, equipment costs, subcontractor costs, and other direct and indirect expenses.
* Develop and maintain a cost database for MEP materials, labor rates, and equipment.
* Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, and analyze their bids for completeness and competitiveness.
* Prepare bid summaries and cost comparison reports.
* Identify potential risks and opportunities that may affect project costs.
* Develop value engineering proposals to optimize project costs without compromising quality or functionality.
* Prepare and present cost estimates to the project team and management.

2. **Tender Process Support:**

* Assist in the preparation of tender documents and bid proposals.
* Respond to technical and commercial queries related to MEP costs during the tender process.
* Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather necessary information.

3. **Project Support:**

* Assist project managers with budget control and cost forecasting during the project execution phase.
* Evaluate change orders and prepare cost estimates for variations.
* Track and report on cost performance against the original estimate.

4. **Market Awareness:**

* Maintain current knowledge of market prices for MEP materials and equipment in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

5. **Collaboration and Communication:**

* Work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure accurate cost estimates.
* Communicate effectively with all parties regarding cost-related matters.
