Job Description:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the medical billing and authorization processes to ensure timely and accurate claims submission.
- Lead a team of billing specialists, providing training, mentorship, and performance evaluations to drive operational excellence.
- Monitor and resolve claim denials, rejections, and underpayments, ensuring maximum revenue recovery for healthcare providers.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to optimize billing workflows and maintain compliance with industry regulations.
- Coordinate with insurance companies to verify patient coverage, obtain necessary authorizations, and resolve complex billing issues.
- Analyze billing and authorization data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Collaborate with credentialing, customer care, and digital marketing teams to ensure seamless integration of services.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payer requirements, coding standards, and healthcare regulations impacting billing and authorizations.
- Prepare and present regular reports on billing performance, denial rates, and revenue cycle metrics to senior management.
- Ensure all billing activities adhere to HIPAA and other relevant privacy and security standards.
