Mechanical Pre-sales Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled Mechanical pre-sales Engineer with 10 years of experience in pricing mechanical works and handling tendering and estimation tasks. The ideal candidate should have deep understanding of mechanical systems, strong cost and quantity analysis skills, and solid experience in the contracting and construction field.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Review tender documents including the agreement form, engineering drawings, technical specifications, and BOQs.
2. Verify the completeness of the information and coordinate with the concerned departments to clarify any ambiguities or conflicts in the documents.
3. Review the accuracy of quantities listed in BOQs, especially in lump-sum contracts.
4. Ensure that all items shown in the drawings are included in the BOQs.
5. Prepare cost analysis for BOQ items including materials, labor, equipment, and transportation.
6. Use available pricing databases or request quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
7. Calculate the total project cost and profit margin.
8. Prepare technical and financial proposals in collaboration with the Planning and Procurement departments, according to RFP requirements.
9. Identify potential cost-related risks and develop mitigation plans in coordination with the Planning department.
10. Create and update pricing databases for mechanical works.
11. Set the financial budget for awarded projects based on the pricing study.
12. Provide periodic reports to management including cost analysis and expected returns.

Analyze the financial performance of executed projects by comparing estimated vs. actual costs, and update the pricing database accordingly.
