Job Description:**Option:**
The incumbent is accountable for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of heavy equipment, including cranes, forklifts, and excavators. This role ensures the efficient operation of all mechanical systems, adhering strictly to safety and operational standards.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Develop and execute preventative, corrective, and breakdown maintenance schedules for cranes, forklifts, excavators, and associated heavy equipment.
* Diagnose and rectify malfunctions within hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems of heavy machinery.
* Oversee and coordinate workshop and field service teams to ensure prompt and effective repairs.
* Employ diagnostic tools, schematics, and technical manuals to identify and resolve equipment faults.
* Conduct comprehensive equipment inspections and advise on necessary repairs or replacements.
* Guarantee that all repairs and maintenance procedures conform to established safety, environmental, and quality benchmarks.
* Administer the spare parts inventory and manage the procurement of essential components.
* Generate detailed maintenance reports, service logs, and equipment performance records.
* Assist in the commissioning and installation of new equipment.
* Offer technical instruction and guidance to junior technicians and equipment operators.
* Interface with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and suppliers for technical assistance and warranty claims.
* Ensure strict adherence to the organization’s Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and all relevant industry regulations.
Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
4-8 years of hands-on experience in heavy equipment maintenance, especially cranes, forklifts, and excavators.
Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, engines, transmission systems, and control circuits.
Familiarity with diagnostic software and tools.
Ability to read technical drawings, service manuals, and schematics.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Good communication and team leadership abilities.
UAE driving license preferred (if applicable).
Familiar with safety standards such as OSHA / ISO.
