The incumbent shall be responsible for meticulous review of project contract documentation, encompassing schedules, design drawings, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ), to ensure a comprehensive understanding of project requisites and specifications. Responsibilities include preparing and diligently monitoring shop drawing submissions to the Client/Consultants, maintaining an updated shop drawing log with pertinent data prior to consultant submission, and guaranteeing the precision and adherence of all shop drawings to project design and specifications. The role necessitates the identification and preparation of Requests for Information (RFIs) to address any incomplete, ambiguous, or contradictory technical information encountered during construction. Coordination with the project consultant is required to resolve technical issues. Furthermore, the incumbent will review shop drawings submitted by subcontractors and external vendors, manage the approval process with the project consultant, addressing discrepancies and concerns, and participate in the resolution of unforeseen technical challenges encountered during construction. Reporting of issues to the Technical Office Manager is mandatory for discussion and implementation of appropriate solutions. The preparation of accurate as-built drawings upon project completion and subsequent handover to the project consultant for record-keeping are essential duties. The incumbent is accountable for ensuring all work adheres to project standards, industry codes, specifications, and design instructions, conducting regular checks to confirm adherence. Preparation of detailed drawings for all construction elements, guaranteeing clarity and accuracy, is a core responsibility. Collaboration with other disciplines, including electrical, structural, and architectural teams, is required to ensure effective coordination and integration of mechanical drawings with those of other disciplines.
