Job Description
On behalf of our client, who is into the Oil & Gas industry, we are looking for an experienced and results-driven Logistics Operation Manager specializing in heavy equipment for the Oil & Gas division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire logistics process, ensuring the seamless movement of heavy equipment, and optimizing operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to enhance efficiency in heavy equipment transportation, storage, and distribution within the Oil & Gas sector.
- Manage and lead a team of logistics professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with logistics service providers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring cost-effective solutions.
- Stay abreast of industry regulations and compliance requirements related to the transportation of heavy equipment, ensuring adherence at all times.
- Oversee inventory control processes, including tracking, reporting, and optimizing stock levels for heavy equipment.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to guarantee the secure movement and handling of heavy equipment in line with industry standards.
- Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and operational efficiency enhancement within the logistics function.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including project managers and procurement teams, to ensure seamless coordination of logistics activities.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in logistics operations management, particularly with heavy equipment in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements in the transportation of heavy equipment.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
- Familiarity with industry-specific software and logistics management systems.
