Job Description:
- Develop and execute logistics strategies aligned with production and sales plans
- Manage inbound and outbound transportation operations
- Ensure timely delivery to customers, distributors, and export markets
- Optimize routing, load planning, and freight utilisation.
- Oversee company fleet.
- Ensure efficient allocation, utilization, and availability of vehicles
- Manage preventive maintenance and repair schedules
- Monitor fuel consumption, driver performance, and vehicle tracking systems
- Ensure compliance with safety, licensing, and transport regulations
- Manage export shipments from planning to execution
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs brokers
- Ensure accuracy of export documentation (invoices, packing lists, COO, etc.)
- Supervise import/export customs clearance processes
- Resolve clearance issues, delays, or inspections
- Coordinate loading/unloading operations with warehouse teams
- Ensure proper handling of paints and hazardous materials
- Align dispatch schedules with delivery plans
- Develop and control logistics budgets
- Negotiate contracts with transporters and logistics service providers
- Identify and implement cost optimization initiatives
- Monitor logistics cost efficiency
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards for handling chemicals and flammable materials
- Enforce safe transport and storage practices
- Ensure compliance with local and international logistics regulations
- Manage claims related to damages, losses, or accidents
- Lead logistics, fleet, and dispatch teams
- Set KPIs and manage team performance.
- Drive continuous improvement culture
