Job Description:**Subject: Application for Technical Office Senior Engineer – Lifting Engineer Position**
Ship & C.R.E.W seeks a highly qualified and experienced Technical Office Senior Engineer – Lifting Engineer to contribute to our Port Operations Sector. This critical role involves the meticulous planning and execution of stevedoring operations for substantial, heavy, and atypical cargo, including but not limited to windmills, railway carriages, and oversized freight. The successful candidate will possess demonstrated expertise in lifting methodologies, load analysis, and stevedoring simulation, enabling them to significantly impact the efficacy and safety of our port operations.
**Responsibilities:**
* **Stevedoring Planning & Execution:** Formulate comprehensive lifting and handling protocols for complex cargo, ensuring the safe, efficient, and optimized execution of operations.
* **Lifting & Load Analysis:** Perform detailed stress analysis, load distribution studies, and risk assessments to guarantee the safety and structural integrity of cargo movement.
* **Equipment Selection & Simulation:** Identify and select appropriate cranes, lifting apparatus, and transport equipment, developing detailed 2D/3D simulations utilizing software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
* **Storage & Lashing Planning:** Design and implement secure storage and lashing systems for transported cargo, ensuring stability and adherence to industry best practices and relevant standards.
* **Performance Reporting & Optimization:** Generate regular operational reports, monitor sector performance metrics, and propose innovative enhancements to optimize efficiency and safety protocols.

Skills:
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: Bsc degree in mechanical engineering
- Experience: 5+ years in stevedoring, heavy lifting operations, or related engineering fields.
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of lifting techniques, structural analysis, load/stress calculations, and cargo handling standards.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and load analysis tools
- Problem-Solving Mindset: Ability to analyze risks, optimize logistics, and ensure safety compliance in lifting operations.
- Communication & Leadership: Experience coordinating with port operations, logistics teams, and external stakeholders.
