**Job Summary**

Under the direction of the Executive Housekeeper, the Service Manager – Laundry is responsible for the comprehensive administration and efficient operation of the Laundry Department, encompassing the Linen/Uniform Section. This role involves providing supervisory oversight, direction, and leadership to ensure the delivery of efficient and customer-focused laundry services. The Laundry Manager will oversee the daily operations of the Laundry Department, maintaining elevated cleaning standards for guest laundry, linens, and uniforms. Responsibilities include the implementation of preventive maintenance programs, adherence to stringent hygiene protocols, and the enforcement of safety regulations pertaining to laundry equipment and chemical applications. Fiscal management responsibilities encompass budget administration, cost control measures, and the oversight of linen, chemical, and operating supplies inventories. The role also entails training, developing, and motivating team members to consistently deliver service in accordance with Shangri-La standards. Compliance with all applicable hotel policies, safety guidelines, and hygiene standards is mandatory. The Laundry Manager will collaborate with Housekeeping, Food and Beverage, the Health Club, and other departments to ensure operational alignment and responsiveness to organizational requirements. Monitoring guest satisfaction and addressing service-related concerns in a timely and professional manner are essential components of the role, as is the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to maintain superior standards of productivity, efficiency, and guest service.

**Qualifications**

* Minimum of five (5) years of experience in hotel laundry operations, with at least two (2) years in a managerial capacity.
* Certificate in Hotel Management, Technical School, or equivalent professional training.
* Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and problem-solving acumen.
* Proficiency in the English language; knowledge of additional languages is considered an asset.
* Good physical health, a professional demeanor, and articulate communication abilities.
* Computer literacy, including familiarity with textile care, laundry equipment, and chemical applications.
