Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Laboratory Instrumentation Technician to join our team in Kuwait. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in laboratory instrumentation and testing. They will be responsible for maintaining, calibrating, and repairing laboratory instruments to ensure accurate and reliable test results. The successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  1. Install, maintain, and repair laboratory instruments such as spectrophotometers, chromatographs, and mass spectrometers.
  2. Calibrate instruments to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
  3. Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on laboratory equipment.
  4. Troubleshoot and diagnose instrument malfunctions.
  5. Order and maintain inventory of spare parts and consumables.
  6. Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure instruments are properly used and maintained.
  7. Train laboratory personnel on the proper use and maintenance of instruments.
  8. Document all maintenance and repair activities.

Preferred Candidate:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in laboratory instrumentation and testing.
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory instruments and their functions.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Experience with calibration procedures and equipment.
  • Previous experience working in a Calibration Laboratory, preferably within the Oil & Gas or Construction industries.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the calibration of instruments.
  • Familiarity with ISO 17025:2017
  • Ability to perform precise and accurate calibrations to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.”
