Job Description:The responsibilities encompass the supervision of incoming agricultural produce, specifically onions, strawberries, oranges, grapes, mangoes, pomegranates, and potatoes, ensuring adherence to stipulated technical specifications and export quality standards.
Visual and physical assessments are conducted on the aforementioned crops to evaluate parameters such as size, color, ripeness, and the absence of defects or contamination. Packhouse sorting and packing activities are overseen to guarantee compliance with quality and packaging requirements mandated by various export markets, including Europe, the Gulf region, and Asia. Quality control and food safety programs are implemented and monitored, aligning with established frameworks such as Global GAP, BRC, and HACCP. Daily inspection and quality reports are generated, documenting observations and facilitating the implementation of corrective measures as needed. Coordination with departments encompassing production, cooling, and logistics is maintained to optimize workflow efficiency and safeguard product integrity. The monitoring of storage and cold chain environments during holding periods prior to shipment is performed to preserve optimal product quality. Active participation in the continuous improvement of operational procedures is undertaken, focusing on the identification of critical control points and the minimization of waste. Support is provided in the training of personnel, including workers and technicians, on quality and food safety standards, adhering to internal quality assurance protocols. Regular reporting to the Quality Supervisor or Quality Manager is conducted, along with the provision of recommendations pertaining to instances of non-conformity.
