Job Description:The incumbent is responsible for the following key functions: recording and posting daily journal entries to the general ledger; performing regular reconciliation of bank statements and company accounts; processing and reviewing accounts payable and receivable transactions; assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities; preparing supporting schedules and reports for internal utilization; ensuring meticulous documentation and archiving of all financial transactions; providing support for internal and external audit processes through the preparation of required documentation; monitoring adherence to financial policies, procedures, and internal controls; coordinating with interdepartmental stakeholders to resolve accounting-related inquiries and discrepancies; and assisting in the preparation of value-added tax or other tax reports, as applicable.
Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in general accounting.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles (IFRS or local GAAP).
- Experience with accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Good analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
