Requirements and skills

–         Minimum 6-7 years of Joinery shop drawing preparation experience.

–          Able to read the architectural/ IFC drawing and use it generate Joinery production drawings

–         Able to read architectural and interior Specification and to encode the materials

–         Well hands on experience with Timers, Veneers, Laminates (Specs and thicknesses)

                                             

 Local candidate with Valid QID can apply & AutoCAD license candidates will be preferable

             Duration: 6 Months+

an experienced Joinery Draftsmen to join our team in Doha, Qatar. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in joinery drafting. As a Joinery Draftsmen, you will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans for joinery projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to develop designs that meet client requirements and industry standards. The role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Create detailed technical drawings and plans for joinery projects, including furniture, cabinetry, and fixtures.
  2. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to develop designs that meet client requirements and industry standards.
  3. Review and interpret architectural and engineering drawings to accurately translate design intent into technical drawings.
  4. Ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings, including dimensions, materials, and construction methods.
  5. Prepare and maintain a library of standard joinery details and components.
  6. Coordinate with production teams to ensure smooth execution of joinery projects.
  7. Provide technical support to production teams during fabrication and installation.
  8. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in joinery techniques and materials.
  9. Adhere to project timelines and deliver drawings within agreed-upon deadlines.
  10. Collaborate with the design team to develop innovative and cost-effective solutions.

Preferred Candidate:

  1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in joinery drafting.
  2. Degree or diploma in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
  3. Proficiency in AutoCAD and other drafting software.
  4. Strong knowledge of joinery construction methods, materials, and finishes.
  5. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in technical drawings.
  6. Ability to interpret and translate complex design concepts into technical drawings.
  7. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  8. Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
  9. Experience in joinery fabrication and installation is a plus.
  10. Knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Qatar is preferred.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as SketchUp or Revit.
  • Knowledge of sustainable joinery practices and materials.
  • Understanding of cost estimation and budgeting for joinery projects.
  • Experience working on high-end residential or commercial projects.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to propose innovative solutions.
