Job Description:The incumbent is responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network services, equipment, and devices. This includes monitoring and troubleshooting WAN connectivity to service providers, customers, and the NTG cloud. Furthermore, the role necessitates troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues pertaining to hardware, servers, software, and network equipment related to network routing, switching, security, VPN tunnels, wireless, and voice technologies. A crucial aspect of the position is the regular review of network health to ensure optimal performance, as well as guaranteeing redundancy through the implementation and rigorous testing of failover plans. In addition, the incumbent will administer Microsoft servers, NAS storage, VMware environments, Veeam backups, and Sophos security systems. Responsibilities also encompass the establishment, planning, and implementation of service desk policies and procedures; the development and enhancement of knowledge base documentation; ensuring timely incident escalation and resolution; monitoring service level agreements; generating service level reports; conducting quality call monitoring; identifying problem trends; initiating problem management processes; driving effective communication with stakeholders; and supporting relationships with third-party vendors.
