Job Description
A reputable company located in Beirut is seeking to recruit an IT Manager.
Job Responsibilities:
- Plan, lead and ensure day to day management of all IT operations and user support to facilitate uninterrupted operations.
- Ensure stability and high availability connectivity across all SETS offices.
- Establish IT policies regarding operational procedures.
- Develop the IT Unit’s business plan and budget.
- Ensure that disaster recovery processes are in place and maintained.
- Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems.
- Analyze the business requirements of all Departments/Units to determine their technology needs.
- Ensure timely procurement and maintenance of IT equipment’s to facilitate business needs across all SETS offices.
- Oversee the installation, configuration, testing and maintenance of operating systems/ application software.
- Oversee the provision of technical support activities to staff to address any IT issues faced by end users.
- Monitor network traffic, network usage and event logs.
- Oversee network design, security, and operations, including but not limited to servers, work stations, switches, firewalls, and related systems.
- Identify poor performing systems that need upgrades or improvement and schedules corrective action, when possible.
- Lead product evaluations, negotiate contracts, and maintain relationships with a broad range of vendors.
- Identify and implement cost optimization initiatives within the IT Unit.
- Develop and facilitate company relevant IT training for SETS Group staff.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, emerging technologies, and software development best practices.
Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or any related field.
- 8+ years of experience in an IT function.
- Certification in CCNA is a must; CCNP in Routing switching or Security is a plus.
- Advanced knowledge and experience in Cisco products: Switches, Routers, Firewalls, Call Manager, Access Points.
- Advanced knowledge in VPN connectivity (e.g. DMVPN, PPTP, IPSEC/L2TP).
- Advanced knowledge in Windows server services and features (e.g. AD, Domain trust, DNS, DHCP, file server, Hyper-V).
- Experience in Virtualization (e.g. VMWARE, ESXi, Virtual box).
- Experience in Microsoft 365 products (e.g. Office, Dynamics).
- Database and programming understanding is preferred (e.g. VB.net, SQL).
- Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in spoken and written Arabic and English.
