Job Description:**Responsibilities pertaining to Inventory Accounting and Control:**

This position encompasses a range of responsibilities focused on the accurate accounting and efficient management of inventory. These duties include, but are not limited to: preparing and reviewing journal entries related to inventory transactions; monitoring Cost of Goods Sold and ensuring accurate inventory valuation; performing inventory account reconciliations; assisting in the preparation of financial reports; collaborating with auditors; calculating and analyzing costs of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods; identifying and analyzing inventory variances; monitoring inventory holding costs; analyzing inventory levels to identify excess or slow-moving stock; supporting the development of inventory management policies and procedures; collaborating with the supply chain department to enhance inventory efficiency; participating in physical inventory counts; analyzing stocktaking results; implementing corrective actions to ensure data accuracy; applying internal controls to minimize losses; preparing detailed reports on inventory valuation, COGS, stock variances, and obsolete inventory; providing insights and recommendations to support management decision-making; and contributing to the preparation of inventory-related budgets and cost forecasts.
