Assume responsibility for the comprehensive management of industrial waste and scrap generated during manufacturing operations. This encompasses monitoring, collection, and thorough documentation of all waste streams. Coordination with production and maintenance departments is required to guarantee appropriate waste segregation and disposal procedures. Strict adherence to and enforcement of waste management policies, in full compliance with all applicable local environmental regulations, is paramount. Waste stream analysis will be conducted to identify opportunities for waste reduction, recycling initiatives, and potential cost savings. Accurate and meticulous record-keeping of waste quantities, classifications, and disposal methodologies is essential for auditing and reporting requirements. Furthermore, maintain effective communication with certified waste disposal vendors and oversee the safe transport of both hazardous and non-hazardous materials. Periodic inspections of waste storage facilities are necessary to ensure safety and regulatory conformance. Prepare and submit regular waste management reports to both internal management and external regulatory bodies. Provide comprehensive training to staff on optimal waste handling practices, segregation techniques, and waste minimization strategies. Finally, actively participate in the development and implementation of sustainability initiatives focused on waste reduction and resource optimization.
