Job Description:**Job Summary**
The HSE Specialist – EPS Saudi Arabia will be responsible for maintaining proactive relationships with key stakeholders and employees by providing ongoing HSE support, advice, training, and reporting. This individual will contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to mitigate identified risks, effectively communicating changes and improvements to enhance HSE awareness. The HSE Specialist will lead local audits, review work practices, and recommend process improvements. A strong understanding of HSE systems, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, is essential for maintaining compliant Health, Safety, and Environmental management systems. The role includes collaborating with the EH HSE Manager for career progression and self-development.
**Responsibilities**
* Ensure compliance with all company HSE policies.
* Host and lead internal, client, and regulatory audits.
* Achieve all relevant KPIs and metrics.
* Prepare health and safety plans and support the continuous development of internal policies.
* Promote incident prevention for employees and visitors.
* Coordinate and maintain Health, Safety, and Environmental systems.
* Report on the performance of HSE systems and identify areas for improvement.
* Assess legislative requirements and implement compliant policies and procedures.
* Record incidents and accidents, generating statistics for management.
* Assist in the development and delivery of HSE training.
* Liaise with operational teams to improve systems and processes.
* Stay updated on new legislation and maintain knowledge of relevant Health and Safety regulations.
* Monitor and analyze technical and legal standards.
* Advise on specialist areas, including fire regulations, hazardous substances, and occupational diseases.
* Fulfill other duties as required by line management.
* Assist in developing practical processes to reduce HSE risks.
* Support operational teams with risk assessments and control implementation.
* Conduct and review assessments, maintaining records as required by legislation.
* Investigate incidents to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
* Actively support, document, and conduct training in new hire safety orientation, SSE programs, monthly safety training, and annual refresher training.
* Properly handle and manage waste and raw materials including but not limited to labelling requirements, inspections, training documentation, accumulation times and proper disposal.
* Conduct internal audits as per ISO standards and NOV HSE procedures and present audit findings and recommendations to the location management team.

**Experience/Education/Skill-set Required**
* NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent).
* Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Diploma.
* Working knowledge of HSE systems (ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001).
* Experience in HSE management.
* Practical experience in incident investigation.
* 2-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
* Thorough knowledge of Saudi Arabia HSE legislation and industry standards.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
* Experience in the operation, implementation, and management of health, safety, and environmental management systems.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good interpersonal and communication skills.
* Relevant experience in an HSE advisory role within the oil and gas industry.
