Responsibilities: Assist in overseeing the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department to ensure exceptional guest experiences. Support the Assistant Executive Housekeeper and Senior Housekeeper in the daily management of the department. Guide and develop a committed multicultural team to ensure adherence to Dorchester Collection standards in all areas. Supervise the daily shift operations of Housekeeping, ensuring guestrooms, public spaces, and colleague areas are clean and well-maintained. Conduct inspections and implement corrective actions as needed. Maintain guest and colleague satisfaction while adhering to the operating budget. Participate in the management of the department’s controllable expenses. Liaise with external contractors to ensure work schedules are completed according to requirements, including marble polishing, carpet shampooing, façade cleaning, and casual labor. Prepare cyclical cleaning schedules for all public areas and coordinate with engineering for the Preventive Maintenance Program (PPM). Assist with recruitment processes, departmental training, and disciplinary procedures. High school education. Exceptional problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to adapt to a dynamic environment. Demonstrated leadership skills to develop and guide a multicultural team to ensure exceptional standards and guest experiences. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with all departments. Passion for delivering extraordinary levels of guest service and providing creative solutions. Knowledge of Property Management Systems (PMS) and computer literacy. Ability to conduct inventories and manage equipment, chemicals, and consumables while maintaining financial awareness. Excellent communication skills with a strong guest service ethic. Fluency in English (primary language used in the hotel).
