**Role Overview:**
The Head of Used Business will assume leadership and management responsibilities for regional operations pertaining to the sourcing, remarketing, and sale of used commercial vehicles, construction equipment, forklifts, generators, and buses across multiple brands within the GCC markets. This position carries full profit and loss (P&L) accountability, with the objective of driving profitability and establishing FAMCO Al-Futtaim as a market leader in the used equipment sector.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Develop and implement a comprehensive regional strategy for sourcing and selling used trucks, buses, and industrial equipment.
* Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities within GCC and European markets.
* Establish and maintain strong supplier networks, encompassing original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), fleet operators, and trade-in programs.
* Oversee multi-channel sales and marketing strategies to maximize revenue generation.
* Manage end-to-end financial performance, ensuring stringent cost control and sustained profitability.
* Standardize operational processes and procedures across the region to ensure consistent quality and efficiency.
* Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing regional team, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
* Cultivate and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders, including OEMs, dealers, financiers, and customers.
**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
* Demonstrated leadership and strategic management capabilities.
* Proven commercial acumen, with experience in full P&L ownership.
* In-depth understanding of the used equipment business and remarketing processes within GCC markets.
* Exceptional negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to drive operational excellence and digital transformation initiatives.
* Superior communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or Strategy (MBA preferred).
* Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
* Verifiable track record of success in managing used equipment business or remarketing operations within the automotive or heavy equipment industries.
* Comprehensive understanding of GCC and regional market dynamics.
* Demonstrated success in leading multi-country business operations.
**Reporting Structure and Team Dynamics:**
The successful candidate will be an integral part of the FAMCO Al-Futtaim Automotive Division, reporting directly to the Managing Director. This role will require close collaboration with Sales, Finance, Marketing, After-Sales, and Operations teams across GCC countries to ensure alignment and seamless business execution.
