Currently, Lucid Motors is seeking a Global Supply Manager to oversee strategic sourcing for exterior systems and components. This role entails executing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and conducting commercial negotiations to achieve established targets for cost, quality, and delivery. The Global Supply Manager will collaborate with Engineering, Finance, and Supplier Quality teams to implement innovative and cost-effective solutions aligned with program timelines.
**Responsibilities:**
* Support strategic sourcing initiatives for exterior commodities, including lighting, glazing, bumpers, and body panels.
* Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and Requests for Information (RFIs), analyze supplier proposals, and provide recommendations to senior stakeholders.
* Negotiate commercial terms, including pricing, tooling costs, and non-recurring engineering (NRE) expenses.
* Assist in contract development and ensure adherence to Lucid Motors’ terms and conditions.
* Manage the issuance of purchase orders for prototype and production tooling.
* Monitor supplier performance and escalate risks related to delivery, quality, or cost.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve supply challenges and support continuous improvement initiatives.
* Provide regular updates on sourcing status and cost tracking.
* Travel to supplier locations and program reviews as required (up to 10-20%).
**Qualifications:**
* Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Finance.
* Minimum of three (3) years of experience in procurement or strategic sourcing for mechanical/electrical components.
* Comprehensive understanding of the procurement lifecycle, including RFQ/RFI processes and cost analysis.
* Demonstrated experience negotiating commercial agreements and managing supplier relationships.
* Familiarity with product development cycles and quality systems.
* Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (SAP or equivalent).
* Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
* Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and achieve results in a dynamic environment.
