**Purpose:**

The Procurement Manager is responsible for directing all procurement operations encompassing both domestic and international suppliers. This role is centered on securing the timely acquisition of superior-quality goods and services at competitive market rates while maintaining optimal inventory levels. The incumbent will play a pivotal role in managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts to effectively support the company’s operational and strategic objectives.

**Responsibilities:**

1. **Strategic Procurement:** Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies for both domestic and international sourcing to achieve defined business goals. Analyze market trends and supplier conditions to optimize procurement processes and minimize costs. Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with key suppliers, both locally and globally.

2. **Supplier Management:** Identify, evaluate, and select prospective suppliers for products, materials, and services. Monitor supplier performance through the application of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), ensuring adherence to quality, delivery timelines, and cost-effectiveness. Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure optimal pricing and service levels.

3. **Purchasing Operations:** Oversee the comprehensive procurement cycle, encompassing requisition, purchase order generation, and goods receipt. Manage both domestic and international procurement activities, including shipping, customs clearance, and compliance with import/export regulations. Ensure the prompt procurement of goods while minimizing inventory carrying costs.

4. **Cost Management:** Drive cost reduction initiatives and champion continuous improvement in procurement procedures. Conduct thorough cost analyses to identify opportunities for minimizing procurement expenditures. Ensure strict adherence to budgetary allocations and financial objectives.

5. **Compliance and Risk Management:** Ensure full compliance with all applicable domestic and international procurement regulations, laws, and standards. Assess and mitigate risks inherent in the supply chain, including potential disruptions in global sourcing. Maintain meticulous records and documentation for audit purposes and internal controls.

6. **Team Management:** Lead and mentor the procurement team, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance. Establish clear objectives and performance targets for the team, ensuring alignment with overarching company goals. Facilitate training and professional development opportunities for procurement personnel to enhance their skills and competencies.

7. **Collaboration:** Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Operations, Logistics, and Production, to facilitate seamless and efficient procurement processes. Collaborate with international partners, vendors, and logistics providers to effectively manage global sourcing activities.

8. **Technology and Reporting:** Leverage procurement software and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to manage procurement activities efficiently. Generate periodic reports on procurement operations, encompassing cost savings, supplier performance metrics, and inventory levels.
